I bought this phone and waiting for it unlock.

Do I need 60 days of service or 61 days of service to unlock? I have only activated with the included $25/30 days TW plan so far. I am just wondering if I need to add another 30 days or do I add another 60 days for it to unlock.

Thank you for your guidance.

How did the $25 plan come included with yours? I bought this deal with the $25 plan from total wireless and I didn't get a separate card or number or anything in the box for the $25 plan ive been fighting with their customer service trying to get this activated they claim I didn't buy a plan even tho it says it on my invoice, to add insult to injury I got a stupid email telling me to rate my purchase and it has the plan as an item to rate or review 😮 💨

it has been stated many times the plan is loaded on the SIM already and you activate it via the link in the email.

I bought a plan with the ip11, no separate card. I just activated from the "activate button" on the shipment email, inserted the sim card that came with it then requested a new number and that's it..

Same here, asn1244

my initial 1-month plan was loaded to the sim included in my TW iP11.

And when I log into my TW account, I could see exactly when the initial 30-day plan expires.

My cut-off date to refill is the 17th. Hopefully by then we'll see SDrs reporting unlocks without the second month payment needed

1. They are part of the same family. If you look at the unlock policy site, you will see the logo for all of them on the top for a reason.
2. The TW sim needs to be activated as a TF line. You can do this on your account on TF. This iPhone only unlocks WITH the sim it comes with. This is what I was told by the support. If you use any other TF sim, it will not unlock later and possibly even complicate things. Even if it's a TW sim, it can be activated as a TF sim and then this sim should be used for the 60 day service.
3. 61 days of service for every line. Not just one. You won't get the 7k to use until all the lines that have referenced each other pass the 60 day mark.
4. You can get 3 months of service with around 4.5k pts. With 12k, you can get a year of free service. With 20k, you can get pretty big discounts on phone purchases. This is all of the top of my memory so some parts might be inaccurate.

Both TF and TW had way worse unlocking methods before (12 month). Now, you just need 2 month of active service for iPhones and 2 month of paid service for Android. Of course that is assuming everything goes correctly.
That's some pretty confusing guidance. "Activate the TW as a TF line??"

The question is simply about activating a TW phone that came with a SIM card.

The short answer is, just insert the SIM that came with the phone and activate. It's a TW line. In 60 days you can look to have it unlocked if it doesn't happen on its own.

Not sure how it is so since when I got new phone it also came with red activation paper with imei of the phone and SIM card number on it inside small pack). Yes the phone box was sealed but that didn't matter since the plan on the sim was already tied to phone so it's same as refurbs the only difference you have to physically open the box and insert the sim from small pack that is attached to the back of box while refurbs have them inside the phone already.
eSIM. My iPhone 13 pro from ATT came the same way. Already had the virtual SIM loaded in and all I had to do was activate.

has anyone here activated the 30 days that came preloaded on the sim and are just waiting out the 60 days without planning on adding days and see if the unlock goes thru.
I have 2 phones. One I activated and added a new month a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully it unlocks after day 60.

Phone 2, I have not activated yet. Will wait to see how Phone 1 plays out and then activate it. By then there will be enough feedback to decide what to do.

No. It wasn't about the ultra-simplistic case that you mentioned.

2: I read here that folks used TF sims on these TW phone and then unlocked using TF 90 day plan. So did u never activate the TW sim? What about refurbished phones that came with Sim installed?

Personally I have doubt about that claim, like everything that comes out of support's mouth.

We're seeing refurbs getting auto 60-days unlock now, and those were surely not "with the sim it comes with", as in when it was a brand new phone.

It seems to me as long as you can get it "activated" in some shape or form it will get auto-unlocked after 60 days. We have seen at least 1 case where someone transferred his/her 1-year HSN TF plan to another android phone, and triggered an "activation" and auto-unlocked after 60 days.
