"The most magical thing just happened guys. Today I woke up to a "No SIM Restriction" on a Verizon iPhone 13. So they do definitely unlock it automatically on the 60th day. I still have the Verizon line but it's in a "voluntary suspended )$10 a month)" status because I wanted to make sure it would unlock and I still had a line (I don't think keeping a line is necessary btw, I was just being extra cautious). All good. Everything turned out ok to my surprise!"

Texting UNLOCK to 611611 today said "congrats, you are unlocked" however phone itself, and SICKW, still reported the phone as locked.
Called the unlocking dept, they said they would submit a manual unlock request that could take up to 2 days.
SICKW reported the phone as unlocked 5 minutes later.

do you need active service when calling the CS, or can i just call using any other phone and give the IMEI # to put in an unlock request?
