Pro-Mix is a consumer brand owned by a Canadian company. Ironically, even though the name of this is ridiculous and sketchy, there is glowing (seemingly legit) feedback all over for this. Appears to be good stuff. I really had my doubts at first. Just FYI.
This type of grass might be perfect for your area, but if you don't know, I would recommend that it is best to stick with grasses that are chosen by professionals for your specific region. Pennington sells grass seed blends by region and sometimes more specific locales. You'll have a higher chance of success with grasses suited for your region. They also have blends that are for dense shade or full sun.
Instead of spending a lot of time researching all things grass, I would recommend visiting your local extension office for recommendations about the best type of grass for your specific area and application. They can also probably give you advice on how to avoid common problems in your area such as pests, weeds, and diseases,
Not a bad price for grass seed, but does anyone know what the quality of this is?
I found this way cheaper on clearance this fall. Picked up 15 bags . Cut my lawn down to .75" de thatched, slit seeded with this seed with a light layer of peat moss . Watered religiously. Northeast Ohio in the fall isn't the hardest place to grow grass and this sh!r barely grew.
This was the first fall in my new house , previous house I had my lawn dialed in. I've taken an interest in grass about 6 years ago so I'm confident of my procedure this fall and this seed failed . I even rotary mowed over .75 acres at my old house when I reseeded in the fall to not disturb the new grass .
Maybe I got a bad batch , who knows , but I'll be going back to my local nursery for their seed that I know works
Will also see if it takes off in the spring ( dormant seeding) if not I'll try my luck in the spring even though it's not the best planting time . I just did my back patio area , 2k sq feet of over 2 acres so not like the rest of my lawn took a hit

I received the package. The "sell by date" on the bag is 10/2021. Expired seeds? Not sure if I should return it or just give a try. BTW, the % of KBG seeds is around 18%.

Mine also has that date so I am returning mine. The reason they put the date there is because after that date the chances of it germinating go down.

I returned mine because of this and they credited me without requiring that I return the product.
