Depending on how serious you are with that, but probably not. People buy this for its form factor mostly, and it still is in the "budget laptop" category. For music production, you probably need something with a more powerful CPU, and maybe a larger screen as well (because you want to see many tracks and many widgets at the same time) unless you plan to plug in to a monitor all the time. I recommend you do more research to figure out what kind of laptop you need for that purpose

I have owned the previous generation of the Spin 3, the SP314-54N-58Q7, refurbished directly from Acer on Ebay, I think I paid around $450 for it. It was a 14 inch, i5-10. I mostly bought it because it was a 14inch 2-in-1 to use as a secondary small laptop. Overall I didn't have any mechanical issues with it, but I almost never used it in tablet mode. I ended up selling it and getting HP Aero 13. I have owned many Acer laptops, never had problems on any of them, however, YMMV.

I got the HP Aero because it has 16GB ram, a bright 2k screen, and confirmed no PWM. If those are not issues for you, I think this is a very good option.

I cannot find any review of this model online. The closest is Spin 3 SP313-51N review with i5 with 2560 x 1600 screen, https://www.notebookcheck.net/Ace...049.0.html

No PWM detected on that model. PWM has been my personal issue with some Acer models before.

A very slick deal indeed, esp considering that the lowest this model has gone for is $499.

However, like you stated that there are absolutely no reviews on this model, neither on YouTube nor any websites.
There's one reddit thread which stated a spin model came without a stylus and even though the garage for it was present, it was "glued" shut and the stylus wouldn't pull out. It was just a part of the design in that model. So that's kinda worrisome.

Thank you! I bought one. I don't think it has a backlit keyboard, but it has everything else I was looking for at a good price.

Weird, if you scroll down it says: 2560 x 1600 for the screen resolution. Looks like a good deal.

Also this:
Graphics - GeForce® MX330
Graphics Controller Model - Iris Xe Graphics

Does that seem right? It seems like it would be one or the other not both.

The specs on this are very confusing indeed.
They've mentioned the specs of the i5 and i7 models in the details of this i3 model.

This i3 model has the WUXGA 1200p screen whereas it's the i5 and i7 models with the WQXGA 1600p screen.

Also, this doesn't come with Intel Irix Xe (as that's not possible with the i3), it comes with the Intel UHD which, even though with the same tag, is a better version of the previous UHD graphics.

For previous version of Acer spin 3, Ram is not upgradable, SSD is.

If you're a youtube artist, you likely don't need much except Audacity and a laptop but if you intend to do any professional production don't play around and get a desktop with multiple displays.

Great display and generous memory. I would've jumped in if not because of the processor. 2 core 4 threads sounds a serious step back to ancient 'duo' era..

It's a good deal, but if you have a Microcenter nearby, they're selling a Lenovo with an 11th gen core i5 for around the same price.

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...puter-blue

It is bigger (15inches) and slightly heavier though.
