I got it for $1.24 as well. It can be a pain to figure out. This is what worked for me.

Once you click on slickdeal link, the amazon page will have the $5.91 box there. Click it.

Then hit buy one time. That brings you to new page with 40% discount. Click it.

Then go back to original page with the $5.91 and then hit subscribe and save….

The price should be $1.24

Note I did this on the iphone amazon app…
