Looks like a solid gaming machine, albeit again not the cheapest based on specs.
Things that stand out...
165Hz 1440p matte/non-reflective panel (note, BB lists it as 1920x1200, but it's 2560x1440p) 300-nit brightness
Upgradeable RAM, up to 64GB (2x16GB installed)
2x NVME slots, one Gen 4, with ADATA S70 1TB pre-installed, and one Gen 3, empty
1x Thunderbolt port (USB-C form factor)
2.5 Gbit LAN
2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
1x HDMI 2.1
Per-key RGB Silent Optical Mechanical (whatever that means ) backlit keyboard, 2mm travel. So probably not true mechanical, but likely has good tactile feel
~10-hour battery
Other spec
11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H with 8 Cores & 16 Threads
NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 3070, 8GB GDDR6 (Up to 125W Boost)

Definitely not 10 hour, but still solid given the battery size.
Only annoying thing about this laptop is no mux switch, which is odd for ane enthusiast focused device
For this weight class, it has very impressive wattage, much better then Asus and Lenovo. This is actually a really nice laptop, but the price is too high.

10-hour was based on the PCMag's test that I linked (general video watching/office/entertainment, but not gaming workload). I am sure if you are gaming on it, there is no chance there's a 10-hour life. Thanks for the feedback on that and posting your own experience with that.
Agreed, definitely weird on the MUX switch. I guess you could (allegedly[jarrods.tech]) fake it by attaching the external monitor to the output that's directly linked to the integrated video... but it's annoying, and probably depends on how the internal are wired, so some trial and error may be needed.

You either have mux or not. You can use an external monitor to bypass this issue, like any any non mux switch gaming laptop, that's standard and not a solution
Normal workload there's probably around a 6hr battery life
It's a solid laptop, lighter than the similar Razer due to magnesium frame. Should be more like $1600. The MSRP is way too high.
XPG is up and coming but not good enough to price itself like Razer.
This 3070 Max-P outperforms the 3080 Max-Q in the $3000 Blade 15. If you were in the market for that high end Razer then this is a relatively OK deal.
That said, there's a $1599 Maingear Vector Pro with 5800H and 3070 at Micro Center that will give nearly the same performance as it is a vey similar Tongfang chassis without the mechanical keyboard. The main differences are that it's a 1080p 240Hz display and not QHD 165Hz like this XPG, it has a smaller battery 62WHr and obviously it's AMD based and not Intel.

FYI this XPG laptop is exactly the same as the recently released Eluktronics MAG-15R.
