If you buy fresh, you need to wash it. This is how you dry it.
Very tempting, but wish it was the oxo.
Universally, the pump is preferred over the crank.
Going to get one to see how well it work to clean chaff off coffee beans.

I have this exact one. I buy fresh lettuce and herbs from a local farm during the summer months and it's super handy for cleaning the lettuce. I've had great luck with Cuisinart, but unfortunately not this particular product. The green inner spinner is thin plastic and warps, which makes it hard to align with the top. The clear plastic outer shell cracked within the first 2 weeks. It's one of those hard fragile plastics. I still use it, but at some point the crack will expand and it will become worthless. I wouldn't buy it again.

These are extremely useful if you are worried about bacteria on produce.

You can wash the produce with vinegar-water mix and the spin dries them off to a certain extent (by throwing the water to the sidewalls which then accumulate at the bottom). It mitigates strong vinegar taste/smell to a degree.

I have the pump kind and it's really noisy. Between the noise and having to wash 3 pieces I don't even bother using the thing.

Edit. Was thinking about getting this one but a quick search shows that it's also noisy. I wonder if the noise if from the crank or the basket spinning?

I have an OXO spinner and do not like it. It lacks a drain spout, making it cumbersome to drain. Much preferred the KitchenAid one that broke. This looks like it has some slots for drainage, for this price I might as well just give it a try.

Do you dry your salad by laying it out leaf by leaf to air dry?

People who actually care for their health. Say hello to high blood pressure which leads to chronic kidney disease. Many people would rather eat a salad versus being hooked to a dialysis machine from dead kidneys as you wait for a kidney donation 😅

I've has the 5 quart version for a few years - we use it a few times a week and so far it's worked very well. The plastic seems pretty strong, which was my original concern - so far I haven't had any cracking or warping, but I do try to be very careful with it. For this price I'd go for it, it will be an improvement over similarly priced spinners.
