I got this for my 4yo for Christmas and it was a hit. It's pretty well constructed and has not had issues falling apart. The start and end are well built with fairly decent sound. Before the end of the race there is panels that pop up randomly (I think it's probably a pattern but I haven't been able to notice yet) and stop some cars. my 4yo finds that part pretty exciting. One thing to take note for is not all Mario Kart hot wheels are equal. Some of the smaller and lighter ones, like Daisy, can get stuck on the trigger that pops up the traps. However, part of Hot Wheels is finding what cars are the best. I have noticed that lane 5 (the outside lane) does seem to win the most. It's a lot of fun but be prepared to have space for it. In a small bedroom it will take up a large chunk of it.
