I'm pretty sure that device can be swapped once activated and the plan itself costs around $40 on sale. I have similar set up for my kid as emergency while he's in school. Doesn't spoil them with unlimited data and not fancy enough to play games or show off so he can stay focused on learning lol.
I am always new to HSN!
I activated the Samsung A11 yesterday as a new Tracfone account. Upon activation they sent the following text, which states 60 days:
Hi there, a quick update from Tracfone.
We have an updated unlocking policy. You can check it here http://tf-w.co/NZyp2bR

Agree, I'm just wondering with all the TF/TW sales lately if VZ isn't clearing out inventory and cheap bundles will no longer be offered. Waiting past 30 days is a crap shoot because HSN only gives 30 day guarantee and TF will just tell you to deal with HSN so if any issues it needs to be a chargeback, which takes time.

Long time users like we are need to reframe the way we think about TF until some time has passed and we know how VZ is going to change things (you know they will). New unlock policy looks like a good start, hopefully it continues. I'm just trying to be careful to tell others that there's no guarantee things will work the same way they used to under the old TF, don't want people to be disappointed.
Sounds very ringplus-ish. I used to warn people stop buying their phones and top ups even if its cheap. No one listened and everyone lost everything.

Probably wise to skip some of these TF deals until you know how they'll treat existing customers. Especially those that have service until 2030 anyhow. By then TF might not even exist anymore.

3 of those, which might have something to do with the way you plug/unplug.
Probably should invest in a wireless charger. Cell phones are not designed for guys with meat hook hands. Do you remember the Seinfeld episode where the girl had man hands? That's probably this person who breaks all his charging ports.

I registered HSN before. Just wondering if I can use a different email address but a same address to register a "NEW" HSN account and get the coupon?
Make sure you check out as guest and use a different payment. I used the same email and it didn't give me any problem.

Do you know in advance what network you'll be using with this phone / plan? I've read Tracfone varies it depending on the phone you buy...?

If HSN wants no business, that's fine with me!

My friends and family wants me to always find them their better deals and I basically was buying for them which makes everyone of them new customers! They don't want 30 sales, let them keep them!👎💅🥣

If I would use tracfone one-year-plan sim with an unlocked iPhone 13, which iPhone model should I choose?

Be aware that Tracfone now installs an app called Device Pulse which cannot be uninstalled or disabled. It is essentially spy ware, in the opinion of many.
Recent reviews from the last few months are extremely negative.

Device Pulse came installed on a phone I bought about 6 months ago. I just turned it on (planning to activate it) and started going through all the apps and disabling many, and restricting permissions on most (a process I go through with each new Tracfone). I discovered Device Pulse and came across the reviews at the link above as I tried to understand what it is, and whether it can be disable or removed (it cannot).

I've managed to keep it off of 2 older phones (many in the reviews are complaining that it got installed without their permission, on phones that didn't originally have it). I have security extremely tight on them and I don't allow and updates - which can be extremely risky unless you really only use your phone as a phone. That's what I do - my phone is a phone only, and I don't enter any sensitive info into browsers (which I use extremely rarely).

With only 3 star rating, I'm wonder if there's some good reason for it being cheap (ie free with plan).

It's one of the reasons I've stopped buying branded Android Tracfones. Went to unlocked Androids and iPhones, don't need forced spyware.

Yes, I think Tracfone and I will be parting company.

As I don't use my phone for much else than a phone, I'm not paranoid about using the Tracfones I have until I've used the minutes on them.

But this example is a reason why I've NEVER used a cell phone for much other than basic phone functions .... because they're horribly insecure.

I wonder if I can use BitDefender to block Device Pulse? Probably not worth the time to figure out.

Likely it's from TF users that have no idea how to activate or use a smartphone. Reviews on HSN for any recent phone mention they don't like updates or can't figure things out - that's not the phone, that's user error. Some haven't updated their phones in years or don't like a large screen phone (did they even read the description?)
I always shake my head when I read TF complaints on HSN.
