Sony for:
- Size
- Darker rooms
- Better sound
- PS5

Samsung for:
- Brighter rooms
- Need for viewing at wide angles
- Better UI
- XboxSX

Both are really good choices and I think it mostly comes down to the location you will put it in. Light in room, how far your seats are from the TV, what angle from the TV, etc.
I'm on the lookout for any deal on the 85".
Can you clarify why one is better for the PS5 and the other better for XboxSX?

I am torn on this (or the 90) vs an LG OLED for a bright room with a wall of windows to the south. I also would like the four HDMI 2.1 ports on the LG vs just one on these Samsungs. Anyone have advice?
I was in the same boat...have double french doors (windowed) to TVs left, two windows on wall behind sofa (opposite TV), and large opening into the rest of the house on 3rd wall. Only option I have is where I have the TV already. I sit 14 feet from the TV also...so bigger was better...the price point on QLED at 85" vs the C1 at 83" was really significant...so keep in mind 85" vs 77" also tipped scales to QLED for me.

I went and looked at BB in person...this is a "bright" environment so I felt it was a decent way to figure it out. Frankly, I found the QN85A at 85" virtually indistinguisgable from the QN90a and the C1 on display. Keep in mind if you are buying anything under 85", you should absolutely buy the qn90 over the qn85...they are different panels in all sizes but 85".

My sense is in a very dark room you will notice the deeper black in the OLED...with that being said the brightness and pop of color in the QLED absolutely won over my eyes. Add in no risk of burn in and my very bright environment and it was a no brained for me.

This helps a lot, thanks much! I'm gonna be going with the 65" so I think the 90 might be best in that size.

That was the Costco version of the Q80A... not the QN85A...

From what I understand, brightness, no burn in risk and less expensive

I purchased the 75" Sony due to the decent review from Rtings, I ended up returning it fkr the QN85, and I'm glad I did. Picture quality is much better.

I will never buy an oled due to burn in. I bought all my q80/90s for my house over oled
S and no regrets. Just isn't worth worrying about burn in happening. Yeah pic is nice but imo isn't that much difference for me as a casual person I'm not a tv guru
