My dog actually was able to chew some of them open along the "seam" but I probably should have taught him this isn't his chew toy. Still these are definitely the tougher balls, a regular tennis ball won't last an afternoon with my dog..
These things are well worth the $. They hold up through weather and heavy use. My dog destroys regular tennis balls and she's not even a heavy chewer.
Sidenote: the glow in the dark version is great too and makes a whistling sound when it flies through the air. They're built a bit differently though so they don't throw the same.
