Why this is a deal? I think it's still over priced. Also you should include the CPU/ GPU in your title so people don't waste time clicking the link.

Also include Costco in the title since not everyone is a member.

Please no one buy this. Too much for a 3070, and doesn't even come with 12th gen Intel CPU.

EDIT: dunno who is downvoting, but ya'll dumb to buy this. You can get an equivalent Dell with 12th gen Intel + 3070 for $1734 https://www.dell.com/en-us/member...8d406e9242

I'm not even saying to buy the Dell.. just don't buy this Legion at $1900. Best Buy literally has an ASUS that is equivalent to this Legion in stock right now for $1649:

I don't normally comment, but I'm on the fence about the Lenovo and felt like some clarification is needed.

The items you linked are definitely not equivalent. For the Legion, what you're getting is good case with good airflow, mesh front, rgb, and non-oem MB. You also get a 1TB nvme, and dual channel ram (4 dimms supposedly). On top of that, you get a gold rated psu and an unlocked cpu with cooling that actually allows you to overclock without thermal throttling straight out of the box.

The legion a solid choice for those of us looking to buy a gaming PC and not need to spend another $200-500 on upgrades.

I would personally prefer an RTX3080, but good luck finding one. If you already have a GPU, then build a custom. I'll make a decision if I'm buying this by next payday, if it's not sold out.

Let's break this down, for what your describing as improvements for the $250 premium over the ASUS I listed:
  • Good air flow/mesh front/RGB - yeah unless you can quantity that airflow, I'm call this $0. Gamers Nexus reviewed that exact ASUS case, found no issues with airflow/cooling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQE0BWmGzto
  • Non-OEM MB - false. This is a standard form factor, but the motherboard is definitely proprietary, as there are no video outputs for the CPU, etc. BIOS is also very locked down. ASUS has the same B550 chipset/form factor, but similar BIOS limitations. $0 value add here.
  • 1TB NVMe - OK that is indeed more than 512GB. Call it worth $50.
  • Dual channel RAM - the ASUS comes with dual channel RAM as well (2 sticks), and I'm not believing this Lenovo has 4 sticks unless you can show otherwise. $0 value add here.
  • Gold PSU - same as on the ASUS. $0 value add
  • Allows you to overclock - Not sure you can do this in BIOS, or you have to use some Legion software. TBD on any value here.

Add all this up and you're paying $250 for the extra 500GB of NVMe SSD. The Lenovo is not a deal. Maybe people prefer Lenovo, or the aesthetics, or just prefer buying from Costco, all these things are fine. But this PC not a deal.

I'm also watching this for comparison too...

The Costco Legion has 32GB DDR4 (4-DIMMs) whereas Asus is 16gb( only1stick)<< based on review
The Legion has more fans for cooling (3front and 2top)... The asus one has only 1 extra fan in back..

The Legion in picture looks like it might have CPU liquid cooling but not sure?? (based on the picture on costco)
Legion also has 1TB nvme already mentioned

There's two Asus model on bestbuy site, the other model with almost exact config has a lot of review...and a lot of reviews mention bad cooling of CPU. SKU#6455823

Does buying PC from costco still give you free 2 additional years of warranty? If so this is a consideration also.

I'd like to point out that there won't be any monitor IOs on this because the CPU is a 11700K vs the 11700F. The 11700K is the multiplier unlocked CPU for overclocking, the F has a lock multiplier with on on-chip gpu.

As for the airflow, this has full vented mesh front and top vs restricted front like most prebuilts. So yeah, you can quantify it.

I get why you're not saying this is a deal, normally I would agree with you. It's still a deal, just not a burning hot deal.

I did miss the 32GB (vs 16GB) on the Legion vs. ASUS. I have the ASUS, it has two 8GB DIMMs. So call that extra $50-70 in value.

Think you've got the "K" vs. "F" backwards here. K has iGPU, but this Lenovo motherboard has no video output, so you can't use the iGPU at all.

The ASUS has the F SKU, which is no iGPU, however it does have the HDMI/DP output on the motherboard. I took the i7-11700F that came with the ASUS, sold it in favor of a i5-11400 (with iGPU) and now I have video outputs from the motherboard. Can't do this with the Lenovo.

So the same configuration for dell is 2400 with the 12700K and the Best Buy configuration is running F processor and 16K of memory, you guys need to get your facts stright before you post
