Format CD
Physical Media Format LP

Walmart is "The Best"...
Check the description...
I've purchased a handful of records from Walmart that said the format was CD, but it's always been on vinyl

Are these even any good presses? Does anyone know if they're all analogue taken from the original master tapes or just slap job using digital files? The thickness of the vinyl, resistance to warping?

It's still expensive, a deal would be getting this LP for $10, $12 or even $15, or finding it at a yard sale for $1-2.

Couple days ago I found this album on a CD at a record store for $2.99, brand new and still sealed. That is the deal!!!

Perhaps that's what CD means in description, that the source's digital.

Good deal for those that missed the $6.49 Tower Records sale in 1973.

These are thick, but I have no idea if they are great presses. For 90% of the people in the world, the quality will be good. For an audiophile, it's probably best to not be buying Walmart vinyl.

Why would Walmart be any different then anyone else? It has the same sku as one that you would buy from record store. If it's a bad edited and pressed album, they will be bad everywhere.. that's how its always been.. there must be 30 pressings of this album and some are better then others. You probably can Google that question. Lots of albums now are being edited to have more bass for the younger generation.

I looked this up its a pressing from 2016. It gets very good writeup. Some say equal to earliest album. I was wrong about number of pressings. Between LPs and Cds over 1100 different pressings.

I don't think you understand Vinyl pricing very well.

You've got a good point, but I did get a walmart exclusive picture art version of thriller that was really warped and sounds worse than my parent's original LP. So, it does happen. There's also the whole issue where new pressings are just taken directly from the CD, but I don't really mind that. It does bother the crap out of the analog purists though. I just love those heavy 180gram LP's.
