Anyone know when they are going to start building thread border routers into mesh router setups? There's a couple companies listed now that include them, but not many.

I have a mix of 2-X60 and 1-W6000. So one X60 is the main router. FYI the home care is way different. The W6000 is geared to the pay service, as the X60 has the free one that already has all the features.

These are rock solid and I am very happy with them. In my bedroom, the W6000 as a satellite was faster on my iPhone 13 pro max than using the X60 as a satellite. BTW I upgraded from Deco M5 to these, so again in my bedroom, the M5 would average around 100-125MB, with the X60/W6000 setup I see about 325MB. I have 600mb service.

Almost every room in my house has a ethernet port. Would these be a good choice? Would I be able to plug each into the ethernet port that would act as the backhaul? I'm pretty out of date when it comes to routers.

If you have some IoT devices, tread lightly.

Old cameras, home assistants, doorbells, Pool automation, these things stink with wifi 6.
Must be a YMMV situation. Mine are doing fine.

Just letting everybody know these are good but the signal strength and download speed are not as good as Orbi. I have the X25 with one router and two clients but the signal strength is away weaker than my Orbi 750 with one router and one client. (I live in the house 2400 sq and two levels with big open spaces, etc.)
It is GOOD system for my needed. I brought this because it came with three years free of MicroTrend antivirus, etc. so I can monitor and limited the times of my kids online for free, etc.

Orbi has Armor and you have to pay sub. to get this service

Possibly. Our pool and AC guys complain about them incessantly. These were the only devices I could not replace. I ended up getting an ASUS pre Wi-Fi 6 to mesh off my XT8 mesh and bind them to that node. Otherwise they would constantly connect and fail in a loop or not connect at all.

I've had the W6000 since last fall and they've worked great for me. I get 600mbps+ on a Samsung tablet and iPhone with AX and 300+ with AC. I put one on the first floor and one on the second using wireless backhaul and I get great speeds even on the second floor. My son couldn't play on Xbox live in his room with our old router but has no issues with these.

Idk, I'd say signal strength is excellent. My house is 2700sqft ranch style, my pool out back is 20x40, and I have a 2000sqft workshop(metal) about 85 ft from main router, I get full Wi-Fi service everywhere except in the very back of my shop, roughly 150ft(50-60ft from satellite) from main node. It's 2 Wi-Fi bars back there.

This is 3 total, 2 X60 and 1 W6000.

I'm very please with the coverage.

I haven't tried to see if I get Wi-Fi on my entire 2 acres.

You can do both. These come in set of 2 or 3 ... You connect any one to your modem via WAN Port (Ethernet cable) and Others you can plug into electric socket in other areas of house. I have one on each floor and it covers my whole house . No dead zones. If you already ahve one you can add on these .
