I have a lot of cats. I usually buy 4 or more boxes every couple of weeks. It comes to $67 buying 4 of the $16 boxes. This deal goes to $75.45 then you add the coupon and it's $55. It aint much, but it's a deal!

Do a *slow* switch to pine pellets. The smell is almost nonexistent and it's a lot cheaper. I pay $6 a bag and lasts 4-6 weeks for two cats
Not very good litter.

Clump & Seal is the only way to go when it comes to A&H.
I hear that with pine pellets the smell control is a bit better but they require more time/effort than scooping clumped pee. You need to have a sifting tray as the pellets dissolve when contacting the pine pellets. you then have to remove the waste which shows as wood dust soaked in pee. Have been considering these pellets but have not pulled the trigger

Kitty litter (clay type) will get you get traction on an icy driveway but I would not use other than an emergency because eventually ice/snow will melt away but kitty litter will stay. I the to keep a 10lbs bag of cat litter in my car for winter emergencies.
I second this. ^

Cat litter (cheapest brand at Walmart) is also good for oil leaks and also will stay on your driveway until you scoop it up. It does not wash away with weather by itself. It is a great idea to put litter over old oil spills/leaks and to leave it there for new ones. Concrete and oil don't mix well, and it may cause your driveway to spall.

Got the Frisco for $12/40lbs. Not the best clumping but not the worst either. At least it's unscented.

Thanks OP.

I second this. But I don't like most Clump & Seal litters are scented. It's sensory overload for cats. It took my cat a long while to get use to it. And the worst part is, it's not clearly marked on the box if it is scented or not.

I just switched from feline pine to ever clean clumping litter, and the clumping litter is day-n-nite better than the feline fine pellets. First, the urine stench is very strong unless you clean every bit of the split pellets. Imagine a homeless drunk covered in pine car fresherners. Secondly, the šŸ’© just kind of sits there partially uncovered cause I mean it's pellets lol. I have gotten the pregnant wife seal of approval who is extremely sensitive to smells right now. Unless you spend an extraordinary amount of time thoroughly cleaning the litter twice a day, feline pine will smell.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I guess I am sticking to clumping clay.

We use Worlds Best. Not cheap, but lasts a long time, low/no dust, and lighter. Use in combo with automatic cat box and the process is pretty painless. Try clay and WB and see if it is worth switching for you.

Do you have a link?
I think the transition should be same as just like changing to the new brand, periodicaly increase pellets' portion I guess.
Here is a link you can look up if you are interested in how to set up after finish the transition to pellet.

I dont know how others do but I used to use this set up. I recommend the A&H feline pine with this set up because pellets are more condensed and bigger than other prodeucts i've used. A 20lb bag lasted for 4~5 months for one cat when I empty and clean the whole litter box every 2~4 weeks. so about $3 per month cost. I tried corns before but my cat thought as a snack.

However, I changed to the clumping clay litter for my cat's health because all vets I know don't recommend pellets and they say most cats have a nature to prefer the sand texture. Likewise, I found out my cat actually like clay litter way more than pellets, even I didn't need a transition to the clay.

Last time when we bought Arm and Hammer cat litter, it tracked dust everywhere. (There was a rebate and I got it for free to try out.) Is this one better and not track dust everywhere?
The only ones that don't, and the ones that I use 100% exclusively specifically because of that, are the ones that say 100% dust free, so Cloud Control and Slide.

Cloud Control is BY FAR the best litter we've ever used. I have a Maine Coon that likes to squat directly into his business, and with any other litter he's caked in #1 or #2, which he then brings onto furniture, skid-marks across the carpet, etc.. With Cloud Control - nothing stuck to him. No smells, easy to clean, and almost no tracking beyond a foot or two from the litter box.

Slide works similarly but I think Cloud Control is a bit better. Usually we get whichever is cheapest at that moment. If this deal had been for either of those I would have stocked up.

I think it was Slide or Absorbx that gave us dust tracking everywhere. I remember it was a black box.

Thanks for replying and your feedback.

13.88 per 40lbs box here. Convenience of having it delivered

Alternatively, if you already have a Costco membership, 42lbs packages of Scoop Away clumping clay litter are 12.99 everyday.
That's for a 21 lb box. $24.99 for 42lbs. at my Costco.

Sure thing. The Absorbx was free after rebate a little while back and I'd agree, that stuff was NOT good.

I will give you a guys a really useful trick for my household.

ive had this set up for years now,

I have this in a 37x45.- it sits in front of the litter box, I have the box in a little closed off cabinet, so he has to walk onto this Matt and it really catches 99% of the litter.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

then beside the mat, I have a ryobi shop vac
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../303579585

I have a charger in the room that I charge the battery like once a month, but anyway, a week, between litter scoops when the mat has some litter collected, I use this with the little wide tip sucker, and it sucks all the litter up in a good 1 minute. but it is noisy for the moment, so dont do it when people are asleep or whatever.

I used to HATE collecting and cleaning litter, but this made the tracking to a bare minimum.

I got my shop vac for 50 bucks on sale from direct tools outlet or Home Depot, I cannot remember which one. but its a dedicated litter mat cleaner, until I need it osmehwere else, then I just carry it to wherever and use it there.

Also terrible for cat paws. You walk on pine pellets and see how you like it. Anyone who recommends or uses this, does so only because it's cheap.

Buy OKOCat fine wood litter. Much nicer, smells good and better for all involved.

Terrible advice. Cat litter is clay - gets slippery when wet. DO NOT use it for traction either for car or person. Terrible advice.
