Cat litter (cheapest brand at Walmart) is also good for oil leaks and also will stay on your driveway until you scoop it up. It does not wash away with weather by itself. It is a great idea to put litter over old oil spills/leaks and to leave it there for new ones. Concrete and oil don't mix well, and it may cause your driveway to spall.
Thanks OP.

I just switched from feline pine to ever clean clumping litter, and the clumping litter is day-n-nite better than the feline fine pellets. First, the urine stench is very strong unless you clean every bit of the split pellets. Imagine a homeless drunk covered in pine car fresherners. Secondly, the 💩 just kind of sits there partially uncovered cause I mean it's pellets lol. I have gotten the pregnant wife seal of approval who is extremely sensitive to smells right now. Unless you spend an extraordinary amount of time thoroughly cleaning the litter twice a day, feline pine will smell.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I guess I am sticking to clumping clay.
Here is a link you can look up if you are interested in how to set up after finish the transition to pellet.

I dont know how others do but I used to use this set up. I recommend the A&H feline pine with this set up because pellets are more condensed and bigger than other prodeucts i've used. A 20lb bag lasted for 4~5 months for one cat when I empty and clean the whole litter box every 2~4 weeks. so about $3 per month cost. I tried corns before but my cat thought as a snack.
However, I changed to the clumping clay litter for my cat's health because all vets I know don't recommend pellets and they say most cats have a nature to prefer the sand texture. Likewise, I found out my cat actually like clay litter way more than pellets, even I didn't need a transition to the clay.

Cloud Control is BY FAR the best litter we've ever used. I have a Maine Coon that likes to squat directly into his business, and with any other litter he's caked in #1 or #2, which he then brings onto furniture, skid-marks across the carpet, etc.. With Cloud Control - nothing stuck to him. No smells, easy to clean, and almost no tracking beyond a foot or two from the litter box.
Slide works similarly but I think Cloud Control is a bit better. Usually we get whichever is cheapest at that moment. If this deal had been for either of those I would have stocked up.

I think it was Slide or Absorbx that gave us dust tracking everywhere. I remember it was a black box.

Alternatively, if you already have a Costco membership, 42lbs packages of Scoop Away clumping clay litter are 12.99 everyday.

ive had this set up for years now,
I have this in a 37x45.- it sits in front of the litter box, I have the box in a little closed off cabinet, so he has to walk onto this Matt and it really catches 99% of the litter.

then beside the mat, I have a ryobi shop vac
https://www.homedepot.c
I have a charger in the room that I charge the battery like once a month, but anyway, a week, between litter scoops when the mat has some litter collected, I use this with the little wide tip sucker, and it sucks all the litter up in a good 1 minute. but it is noisy for the moment, so dont do it when people are asleep or whatever.
I used to HATE collecting and cleaning litter, but this made the tracking to a bare minimum.
I got my shop vac for 50 bucks on sale from direct tools outlet or Home Depot, I cannot remember which one. but its a dedicated litter mat cleaner, until I need it osmehwere else, then I just carry it to wherever and use it there.
