What would you suggest for 3 * 4K in portrait mode side by side on a work desk about 2 feet from my face when typing ?
do they have to be 4k? I would do 3 * 1440p 27" ones in portrait mode. the KEY is to make sure they are IPS panels. if you get other when you tilt 90* you will get some issues with viewing angles and color.

Can you share a better option for gaming/sports/movies?

My point is that most TVs are 60hz and most content is as well. Even if you have a 120hz TV, you should likely have motion handling off for most content and then you are essentially watching the exact same basic specs as this monitor.

If you want 144hz or 165hz monitors then by all means, but to say that you can't watch sports or action movies is just garbage talk.

Needs to be 4K and under $350, otherwise I will stick with https://slickdeals.net/f/15402961-costco-members-lg-32-class-qhd-ips-monitor-2k-1440p-199-99-costco
NVM! IPS, but just 75hz, need 144+for that CSGO speed.

I prefer a 27" 4k monitor to 1440p. No, I can't use 4k at native resolution at that size, but I do like it scaled a little smaller than 1440k, so I still fit more on a screen than 1440k. Text is a bit crisper as well.

I was worried about system resources with scaling, but it hasn't been an issue in the slightest. FWIW I'm not gaming on it.

I have my 27" 4k at 125%. it's perfect. and when I need to work on excel, I use full 4k. It's perfect.

ew, VA. what am I, some of the college kid who that can't afford his IPS and 165hz too?
Another ridiculous comment. IPS is NOT inherently better than VA. They each have strengths and weaknesses. There are certain cases where you want an IPS panel and some where VA is better. Get educated!

They do have to be 4k as I need the vertical resolution in order to see the entire GUI of the software I use 10 hours per day, 7 days per week Frown

I currently have 2*43 inch 4k LCDs side-by-side in portrait and a third LG48C1 in landscape to the left of that, but I don't like having to look so high up / move my neck to see the top 1/3 of the portrait monitors, which is why I'm thinking of going smaller but at the same resolution... I am also considering a single 55-inch 8K monitor that would give me roughly 3 "zones" of 2400x4096 resolution on the same monitor... halp! Smilie

Better for Mac than for PC. I use a 27" 4k monitor on my Mac, running at 1440p resolution. Very crisp and easy to read.

What's VA? The one I have is IPS. It's not about afford, I set budgets for stuff.
