The GPU performance of this laptop is really lacking and as per the reviews, most RTX 3070 Laptops with 115W + 15W (130W), perform equal or slightly better than this. The 125W + 15W (140W) TGP RTX 3070 always perform better than it.
And it is not really 105W. It is 90W fixed + up to 15W with dynamic Boost and during demanding games, with CPU + GPU load, it never goes past 100W and most of the time hovers between 90W to 95W.
Can't really compare. 16.1 vs 17.3. plastic trackpad and non mechanical keyboard, etc...owned both the lp5 and high end 17 inch models. If you're looking for one thing and someone says 'look here's a deal on a gaming laptop that's not in the same segment but hurray' I'm not sure how helpful that really is.

Of course you can compare them, specially if gaming is gonna be your main use for the laptop. The legion will blow out of the water this Aorus.
The 16.1" QHD+ screen is so much better and build quality is excellent.
Plastic Trackpad I dont think matters (I mean, who doesn't use a mouse to game?).

Some people use it as a laptop so the trackpad could matter (material and location--Dave 2d even noted this in his review). Keyboard certainly matters and the Legion's is a bit cramped with spongier keys that simply are average at best. Screen size matters. A 16.1 is a 15.6 with extra, essentially wasted vertical space (for gaming). If you play at the native resolution of the Legion, it decreases performance by 10% or so vs 1440p. Scaling down to 1080p won't look as good If you're an eSports gamer or play certain titles that prioritize single core, the 300hz screen and Intel will be beneficial on the Aorus. It's still a slick deal, but I guess the reddit/deal site hive mind have proclaimed there's only one laptop for every use case.
The legion 5 has wifi issues too. The build quality is fine but it's bulky and heavy for what it is. Doesn't feel ultra premium
