Our family enjoys cooperative gaming (board games, video games, etc) and had fun playing:

- Unlock! - Escape Room Games (requires a smartphone but at least you don't have to stare at it the whole time),
- Pandemic - we haven't played since actual pandemic
- Star Trek Panic - Unfortunately, no longer in print
- Star Wars Imperial Assault - Similar to D&D, one person plays the empire

Thanks to the OP, we're going to try Fast and the Furious and Space Invaders.

When my kids were younger, we played:
- Castle Panic - I heard the expansions are good
- Stone Soup and others from Peaceable Kingdom
- Others.. there's a lot more for younger kids

Hope you find something!

I was excited for this game (Apollo). Bought it, played the opening round and meh. It's shelf fodder now. I'm sure the gameplay dynamics works for some but ended up not our family's jam.

Whoa. Great deal.

I got this game for Christmas last year. My wife and I played it a couple times, but never went back to it. This game is a great take on the theme, and it's fun if you're a fan of the space program, but not an all-time great game by any means.

At this price, if you're curious, give it a try.

Any other recommendations for cooperative games? I really like that style of play rather than the competitive all the time.

cooperative games cover a wide range of playstyles. From that target sale, we've really enjoyed CodenamesBig Grinuet, but we really like Codenames in general.

Horrified and its sequel, Horrified - American Monsters, are phenomenal cooperative games. I cannot recommend them enough.

Odd question ... would this make a good game for a classroom of 8th graders? I've been trying to figure out some way to incorporate the concept of cooperation into their lives. I figured some cooperative board games would be good, but I have too many students (10-15) for most games. I've been thinking an escape room game might work out, but I've never played any of them before.

Don't get him into playing D and D or you might never have grandkids.

So my issue is buying this from Target but because of shipping, spending$35 and then realizing that I probably won't even play it ever and spend the money that I would have never spent. 😆
