Interesting that you can find this link just Googling for "usps covid tests" but the official government website [covidtests.gov] still says it is not available until tomorrow. Typical. Thanks and repped.

Yes. They are rapid tests, lateral flow tests, that are administered at home and results within 15 minutes.

The reason is everyone tests for COVID first.

All kinds of people who are counted to COVID numbers, have symptoms, but all the symptoms are from their Flu not their COVID.
The tests are for COVID not the flu. Just because they have similar symptoms doesn't mean they are the same genetically. The cold looks different than the flu, looks different than Covid-19

WOW! 4 free tests! For a family of 4, that could be one day. What a joke.
Be happy with what you're getting. Four tests delivered to your door is better than tests you can't find.

I thought it was 4 tests per person, but the site says one order (i.e. 4 tests) per household. Wondering if this is an error and whether it'll get fixed.

I had to include the hashtag on address line 2 for my unit number to be accepted: "# B5"
Didn't work for me 😞

Do we know when these kits expire?
They are generally good for up to 6 months.
