Interesting that you can find this link just Googling for "usps covid tests" but the official government website [covidtests.gov] still says it is not available until tomorrow. Typical. Thanks and repped.

Yes. They are rapid tests, lateral flow tests, that are administered at home and results within 15 minutes.

Folks - Let the lesser Privileged and the uninsured among the general populace order these kits first. Folks that have Insurance and/or can afford the $50 - please do refrain from ordering these.
LOL do you really think people will listen to you?

Who needs a covid test if we are all gonna get infected anyways
What's your logic with this statement? Why do we have flu tests? Strep throat tests? Use your noggin.

These tests are supposed to be kept above freezing, so warning for anyone in northern states that they may freeze in transit and not be effective.

Tried to order, says the tests were already ordered for my address. Which I obviously know isn't correct (single family home). Wonder if its locked now until tomorrow?
Its not locked. That means someone already placed an order using your address. Any chance you or your family accidentally placed an order just before hand?

Is there any way around the "This is not a residential address" error? I live in a big apartment complex and we utilize the package service "Fetch". I tried entering my Fetch address but it says that error /: My apartment complex has several gates that require different codes and mail services never drop packages off at our door

"The address you entered is listed as a business address in our system. Currently, we can only ship at-home COVID-19 tests to valid residential addresses."

I found this on the from page of Yahoo before coming here. Was nice to get the order in a day early.Anyone who uses THIS to resell the free test deserve Karma for doing it.

Of all the things SDers do this is 1 i do not approve of but i also know some will. So if you're reading this and plan to resell them you deserve whatever you get.

Worked for me but I live in a multi family residence.

My neighbors are now trying to order for their units (using obviously the same main address just diff Apt/Fl #s) and the system is kicking them back saying this address has already been used.

If this is intended, it's a huge oversight by the gov for the millions of people who reside in multi family buildings.
