Interesting that you can find this link just Googling for "usps covid tests" but the official government website [covidtests.gov] still says it is not available until tomorrow. Typical. Thanks and repped.

Yes. They are rapid tests, lateral flow tests, that are administered at home and results within 15 minutes.

Take care of that. Had a flu turn into a lung abscess a few years ago.
That sounds terrible

Anyone know if these work for travel? I'm assuming not
No. These are self-operated rapid tests. Some at-home tests will have a proctor option that works for travel, but not these. Get a PCR test done before your trip.

Don't think it's an issue if you live an actual apartment/condo space, but I'm guessing OP is living similar to someone living in a frat/sorority house, so it's just one address.
Can often sneak by with Unit A, B, C.

Sucked; I was in my mid-30's, with a wife and kids. Makes me wonder what they're thinking when people say "it's just a flu." Flu is one of the top-10 causes of death in the US.

Anyone else receive an error saying order already entered for their address when they know that they haven't actually ordered any? I am wondering if my order is hitting some other issue and reporting this error instead, because I definitely haven't ordered my tests yet, but get this message when I submit my order:

"Our records show that at-home COVID-19 tests have already been ordered for this address. We are unable to process duplicate orders for the same address."

I thought it was 4 tests per person, but the site says one order (i.e. 4 tests) per household. Wondering if this is an error and whether it'll get fixed.

It is 8 at-home tests per person per month if you order yourself (for purchases on or after Jan 15) and reimburse by your insurance later. So the verification of 8 at-home tests per person per month is done by your insurance. For free test directly from Federal government(USPS), it is 4 per household address no matter how many people live in that address. The verification of 4 at-home test per address looks like is done by USPS.

And like many said, this at-home rapid test (antigen) not accept by airline or foreign country travel. So still need to go to your local place that do PCR test if it is required by your company, airline, etc

Slickdeals does not care about veteran users or people who actually contribute to the site. Having more internet points does nothing, even during giveaways.
Sadly, probably true.
More so when sponsoring became a thing.

Do you live in an apartment building or multi unit building? Apparently the site is glitching over that.

Well, I do. I don't test for Covid every day, but I do test my blood pressure (with the excellent slickdeal I got on an Omron machine just a little while ago).

Site is in Beta Phase
"Some users immediately identified at least one problem: Orders made by different people living in the same apartment building but in different units were rejected as duplicate, according to some tweets"
"We can't guarantee there won't be a bug or two," Psaki said, "but the best tech teams across the administration and the postal service are working hard to make this a success."

Available tests are rapid antigen at-home tests, not PCR tests. All of the tests being shipped are FDA-authorized, but you will not be able to select which brand you receive. The tests give results within 30 minutes

We expect the website to officially launch mid-morning tomorrow.
