And knowing it's Lenovo the ram is probably hard soldered at least for one of the two slots…

Pass on this, there are better options (search slick deals as there are many)

Agreed! For this price point, I am good with all the other specs but that resolution and TN panel make this a hard pass for me.

Might have been okay if they still put access doors in the bottom to add ram or swap out the drives.

This crap they have now where you have to pull the keyboard or take the entire bottom off, to find everything soldered in place or non standard is a no-go.

And why are we still putting 900p displays in a 17" laptop? At this point it must cost extra to produce something that small and useless?

Intel also still trying to sell dual core i3's needs to change as well. I won't buy anything with fewer than four cores and I'd have to get a great price to not want 8.

Lenovo laptops are the absolute worst!! My hard drive failed on a less then two year old machine that was rarely used. I paid over $500 for my ideapad laptop. No customer support. You also have to pay a diagnostic fee before they can tell you how much the repair is

I agree. We have HP & Dell Laptops, which is much better than our Lenovo laptop. Lenovo also keeps putting bundleware apps in the Startup Menu..

HP & Dell are much better Laptops.. Better Support..
