I don't believe this does 4k at 120 or variable refresh rate for the new consoles.

You are correct. Still a really good tv for the price . Only thing you have to worry about is the quality control of Hisense. Tv could last you 10 years or maybe 3 months, it's a gamble. Also I believe there was a software update that gave DV and HDR content red ghosting . Not sure if that was fixed yet.

This or the Sony x85j? Not a gamer. Streaming content mostly. Thank you!

I actually own both, when I moved to Italy 5 months ago, our place was not furnished so we went out and purchased everything. Ended up getting 3 TVs, this HiSense in 65 inch and 2 sonys 50 and 65. For the money if you are not a gamer I would say the HiSense is better to save the money, my two cents. I'm very happy with all the TVs I bought, but I actually watch more TV on the HiSense because of the room it's in and my kids take up the main room usually

Thanks! Just did a bit more digging looks like H9G wins in all categories but lacking Airplay (I can live without) and USB 3.0 which I use a lot to play local high bit rate media. Have to pass!

My mom's $260 65 inch hisense from bf2020 is still going strong. Only annoying thing is it requires a reboot or unplug and plug every few weeks or so for stability of the OS.

Great TV at the price. Bought it last year at around $1k, I'd buy it again.

Solid deal if you're budget minded and / or not picky about the latest and greatest HDMI 2.1 specs.

I will say that these sets have some known quirks (red ghosting) that can irritate some, but it's seldom anything to get bothered about.

Great TVs for bright rooms!

My only real complaint against Hisense is their software support is not as good as some of the A-Tier brands.

Sometimes their fixes break other things, the quality control in both software and hardware is less than the more household names.

That's never happening at this price.

I'm not complaining. I'm just telling people that this is numbered very similarly to the Hisense that does 4k/120. The TCL 6 series current year does both and that's been as low as $900. That's not too far off.

USB 2.0 is more than enough to handle even 8k media, unless they use crap controllers. You can easily get 300 Mbits

Seems like a smart plug to reboot would be a nice gain
