Get the extended warranty when you buy TCL. I repair these, and for a long time the picture going out was the T-Con or timing control board. Cheap fix for about $20. Now with the newer sets the LED backlights are going out. Much more difficult repair. Many times they die right after the warranty is up. Also agree with the Android and Google versions - stay away or use a stick. They don't have enough ram and freeze up after a few months.

The Google version of this TV won't do Dolby audio so check it out when you get it home. TCL broke Dolby audio on the 55S446 Google TV with updates. The Android model is ok so I'm guessing Dolby will be ok on this model as well.
