Just put this together. Very well built. Took about 90-mins with some breaks. Good directions, and all bags labeled very well. Comes with the riser, so although technically 3/4 size, but height is good in my opinion to play standing up. (I am 6'2" and have no complaints). I have several MAME machines (cocktail/Desktop), but none with trackball/spinner so this was a good addition for the trackball/spinner specific Atari games.

If I'm going to buy a cabinet, this would be the one. With the trackball and spinner, it's a true specialty cabinet and has the games I love on it to boot. I know these are hot happs or great quality controls, but they are better than trying to use a controller not made for these games. I have the Arcade Legends dual controller (got on the $99 deal last year) but trying to play these specialty games is a PITA without the right controllers. I still don't like the fact it has a 17" monitor. If I could just swap that out to a 20" LCD that would be perfect.

I might have considered buying this...if I didn't already own an original Tempest cab (with Rev. 1 romset which allows you to execute the digit score trick).

What a coincidence. I was editing other post making same warning as you wrote that. Good job watching people's backs.

I'll add that this trackball upgrade does work, but some are saying the original track ball woarks better anyway.

Supposively, they are working on making the spinner compatible with OPs Tempest Legacy cabinet. However, the post date of that message was 6 months ago so I don't know what's up with that.

If anyone knows what the best leaf Hap buttons I can upgrade to, Please let me know.

I want to upgrade buttons on this 1up Tempest Legacy I just bought, and also my AtGames Legend Pro, and AtGames Mini.

Is it possible to convert the joystick on my Legend Pro to leaf without repacing the joystick? If not tell me what the best compatible upgrade leaf Joystick I should get. pls

If only this had Marble Madness, I'd be all over this. Probably my favorite arcade trackball game, and a shame its missing since it was an Atari release.

Guess I'll wait for hopefully another sale in the future after the developers catch up on the PCB.

Not really my forte, mind you, but its my understanding that developers found ways to reflash the PCBs on earlier generation 1Up cabinets. Hoping its just a matter of time for these newer cabinets.

Gen X here and like a few of the commenters I remember playing many of these games in the arcades/my local pizza parlor as a kid. I too was lucky enough to pick up the Atgames deal for $99, but yes for Tempest and Major Havoc (LOVE this game!!!) you need the spinner. I have my 53rd birthday coming up so I'll justify it as a present to myself. Been trying to downsize/declutter a bit but I can't resist this one. 80's Arcades games FOREVER!

Ordered it through Nordstrom last night, but after reading about the longevity of the controller especially using a Spinner and trackball I wanted to get an extended warranty.
I price matched at Bestbuy and got the 2 year BB warranty for $59.99 through chat.
