If only it had the 3/9Ah battery, I'd buy it. I even have the other saw

This saw is massive compared to the other handheld circs. I was debating buying it a while back but checked it out at HD beforehand and was blown away by the size/weight. I ejected and kept my 7 1/4 60v. It's got power but unless you're cutting stacks of ply, it's overkill

Huh? It's comparable to the Hilti Milwaukee and Makita. Definetly smaller than the SkilSaw cordless. Yeah it's bigger than the 6 1/2s if that's what your comparing it to. It's a full 7 1/4 framing saw with the power for a reason

It is one of the best and most powerful cordless saw i've ever used. i let my contractor borrowed it once and he was very impressed and wanted one for himself.

Same here.
I have the 60v DCS578.

I actually ordered this and waited for a few days to pick up while I considered justifying this purchase. I ended up cancelling the order. I don't think I would need the difference in power being I am a DIYer/crafter, not a Pro.

Dang, I bought the Makita worm drive one last year because I never expected this to go down in price. The Makita is a good saw I just don't have any other Makita tools and have 4x 4AH batteries with two just laying around.

Yeah. I have this and it's certainly big and heavy. It's a beast but, it has its uses and I'm glad I have it. I find the smaller 60v 7 1/4 like the DCS578 is a better choice for most jobs. I'd buy this again at this price, but If I could only get one saw... The lighter saw is probably a better choice.

Has anyone used this to cut concrete floors. I may need to do some plumbing work under concrete slab.

Unfortunately that doesn't appear to be the same worm drive saw.

I wouldn't recommend it. You will have to take shallow passes and use a lot of water which will damage the saw.

Bite the bullet and rent a concrete saw from HD and be done in 2 hours vs 10 hours.

I am comparing it to the DCS578, which is a 7 1/4". The DCS577 is much larger and heavier. It is a more powerful saw, but to this day, I have not run into anything the 578 cannot cut. I know many builders prefer the worm drive style for accuracy, but for the homeowner or even enthusiast, the 577 is more of a PITA than it is helpful.
