Not sure what you were expecting from semi dry meat and cheese that requires no refrigeration.

Can't stress this enough. Don't buy these to eat. Only good for when you have to give a gift to someone you don't like that much.

For most mass-produced summer sausage, the skin is just packaging made out of collagen or plastic. You're supposed to peel it off.

The one I really like is the 10-pack stocking stuffer for $34.99. That's $3.50 per box for a summer sausage, a cheese, and a mustard. But it's obviously Christmas-themed and so either I'd have to eat all 10 boxes myself (yikes!) or find people who don't mind a Christmas present after Christmas (probably my extended family). Ha!

This stuff IMO is nasty. The meat has a weird mushy, oily texture and the cheese is nasty and doesn't melt. I had to toss it and I bought 2 separate gift packs from here so it wasn't just a single bad batch.

Good price. These used to sold at a kiosk in the mall. Cheap, but generally lousy taste. IMO: These are meant to be given as presents to people that you don't want to see again.
