I think 1440p monitors aren't really great for consoles as they don't natively support 1440p right? I think for that reason you don't see them with HDMI2.1 and instead just have DP1.4 for PC gaming. 4k/144hz monitors on the other hand are great for consoles and those usually come with HDMI2.1.
Bought this in June 2021 for $668.24 from Dell's website, no clue why it was that cheap but I just looked at my receipt. Anyway, other than the slight backlight bleed in a couple spots, it is easily the best gaming monitor I've ever used. Upgraded from an Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz. I will say that color and panel uniformity were both better on the Acer, but of course this could vary unit to unit.
It goes on sale for $625 every now and then. I believe the dell refurbished is now $625 so idk if we'll see that pricing again for new. Best I've seen is $625 at the same time as a 20% off monitors/accessories coupon if you bought a desktop and I kick myself to this day for not doing it and flipping the gpu

Gigabyte M28U uses the same panel and has 2.1, but over HDMI can only do 120hz 4K with chroma subsampling.
