IIRC, a majority of oats harvested in the USA is sprayed with roundup, to dry the plant so that harvest can occur weeks ahead of a normal drying cycle. It is my understanding that USDA Organic stipulates no roundup or similar plant killers can be used to accelerate harvest.

Therefore, these organic, steel cut, non-quick, non-parbaked, 1 to 4 ratio oats are a real nice deal.

Thermos cooked steel cut oats are my goto work breakfast. Preheat thermos with boiling water. Dump out water add new boiling water and oats. Oats cook with the heat retained in the thermos. 45 minutes later your oatmeal is ready to eat.

Good price on prepackaged oats. If you have a local source with bulk bins it can be less than this. Sprouts is an example.

Please tolerate a little tangent. We have fallen in love with Coach's Oats which are parboiled steel cut oats. While making egg whites with vegetables every morning, the two of us share 75g Coach's oats, salt, and 300g water microwaved for four minutes. This is just part of the way my wife and I have shed about 100 lbs together. 20% of our body weight. Kept it off for more than 2 years so far. These steel cut oats are just as good but take much longer to cook.

What does pack of 4 with 5 items mean?? $11.04 w/5 items S&S and 20% off coupon >$12.74 with 5% S&S discount

+1 My ordered showed $8.70.

Is this still a good deal adding inflation & supply chain issues?

Sprouts is currently 0.99/lb near me. Considerably less than this deal. I think normal price is $1.59/lb.

HOWEVER, Sprouts is not labeled USDA organic, non GMO, etc etc etc. If you care about that.

The product itself is good. I don't know if it is worth 11 bucks though. but the current price is lower than it's MSRP. so I am getting it.
