Grabbed the last one from my local store! Was hoping to get two but oh well. It was at the end of the other side of aisle, not too far from the rest of the garage openers. I initially couldn't find it until I reached the end. Can't wait to get it up and running when it's a tad warmer.

All of the ones at my store are on the top shelf. Any way to check price without making an associate go up and pull one down?

Nevermind, got an associate to pull price. $89 at Lakewood, CO, Alameda Ave location - 7 left after I purchase.

I doubt it, 1/2 HP should be fine and if your doors are aluminum it will definitely be enough. I use a 1/3 HP opener on double doors. Make sure the door is balanced and lube all the hinges, rollers and bearings.

They are suppose to be quieter, in general I think they are quieter. One HD reviewer says "the only complaint I have is it's very loud. Louder than our chain driven genie." Worm drives are suppose to be quieter too but a girlfriend complained about her brand new one being too noisy. I'm not real concerned about the noise. They open and close rather quicky and it's not like you open the garage door every 10 minutes.

They also make the LiftMaster brand. I have a shit Craftsman that I installed in 1993 and last week I just put in a gear kit. That's pretty good after 29 years and a 1/3 HP opener on a double door.

I got the 1 hp version. I did some research and it says that bigger power is better for belt. Anyway I'm very satisfied with it so far(upgrade from chain)
