Is this worth getting? Are the newer version coming out soon? Have not did any research for quite some time. So fustrated on scalpers pricing.

$20/hash this is market price. About the same price per hash as a $850 3070.

Not using this card for mining. Using this card for general use and gaming.

This is a new 12GB design of 3080 card released on 1/12/22. Best buy stock was sold out in seconds. If someone needs the card here it is.

My 1070 ti was worth more than what I bought it for years ago when I upgraded. Terrible time to buy a gpu.

This is stupidly expensive. I was able to order from Amazon but after second thought canceled it. Would be better to get a prebuilt rather than this.

Newer video cards are always coming as we will probably see the 4000 series by the end of the year. Zotac was always considered one of the worse brands to buy but thanks to the shortages it is hard to be picky, so they have done well selling their cards at premium prices without the premium quality of other brands. This card is not really worth $1600 when the EVGA version will be $1300 and a much better build quality.

Pricing structure doesn't make sense. The 3090 msrp when it was released was 1500 and the 3080ti was 1200. How is the updated 3080 more than either msrp other than greed?

honestly i was able to grab a 3070 zotac after goving up on a 3080 a few months after release and my first card died. lucky the store had some and it was within 30 days. i don't think i would get a zotac gain.

Zotac cards are not bad. The build quality and cooling performance is usually on par with other brands. What sets them apart is the terrible customer service and poor RMA reviews.

Nvidia, I think does not specify a MSRP (which is a suggested price anyway) for the 12gb 3080 which is why you are seeing crazy pricing. Zotac and MSI have particularly taken advantage of this. Even EVGA has their 3080 12gb for 1250 and 1300.

Only the 3090 Founders Edition (from Nvidia) had an MSRP of $1500. Every other AIB (which Zotac falls under) had an MSRP of $1900+ for the 3090. But I haven't seen any 3090 MSRPs available for purchase under $2200. Not talking about scalping, I mean the real MSRP of a 3090 is $2200+

Probably not worth getting. Nvidia apparently is embarrassed of the updated 12gb 3080 and wouldn't release drivers to reviewers until after the launch...which apparently hadn't happened in the past. Just another cash grab by Nvidia (im using a 10gb 3080).
