close to 1k this is just lame, it gets trounced by Hisense and TCL. this offers 300 nit PEAK and sustained brightness, has zero local dimming, and inferior gaming. Hisense meanwhile has good local dimming(300+ zones), 1500 not peak brightness (700 sustained 10%), and way better gaming for same price.
Hisense and TCL > and I give my condolences for anyone who purchased this TV near this price.
if you're purchasing a high end soundbar however, there are better options then Vizio..

I bought the 5 year Best Buy Geek Squad warranty with it. They refunded my money in the form of a Best Buy gift card
I replaced her Tv with a 49" Sony X950H
The Vizio has been connected to a surge suppressor the whole time she had it. However, I know there were periods of time where the TV probably stayed on much of the day...which will continue with the Sony

My friend's TV stopped starting up after 5 years. I was able to revive it by baking the main board at 400F for 12 min. I've heard the fix doesn't last more than a couple months.
