Phenomenal prices for a Bosch. But are they actually a Bosch down under?

Looks like you have to buy online and get it delivered for free. Not much in store availability.

Great prices for Bosch. I've been looking for deals on an 18v Ridgid SDS and a bare tool alone doesn't go below 160.

I haven't done much research at all on Bosch tools. I current have all ryobi tools and have been wanted to get Dewalt XR tools but haven't seen much of any deals on those. How would these tools be compared to xr tools?

Note that that's a low power hammer drill in the kit. I have this and use it to check slab/footing/wall thicknesses for work. When they say it's a 3/4" max drill bit size, they mean it. You can't lean on this drill at all or it will stall. I use a 5/8" in this and I can barely put more than tool weight pressure on it. Now, it's a Bosch SDS, so it's still worlds better than a generic hammer-action drill and will cut concrete and masonry well, but realize that it is a very small tool for what it is and your progress will be a small fraction of even the most basic 8A corded version or the larger 18v tool.

Weaker set but it's fine. the impact isn't the stronger brushless (looks like v1) the v2 with the light and speed selector and bt option is stronger and bit lighter (have both) but it works fine. Drill is good i don't notice brushless even matters there. the sds i agree it'll stall into concrete with large or long bits and deep holes but worlds better than hammer drill. It's good when don't want to pull out the corded bulldog...gets the job done for quick easy stuff. 199 good price for this combo, i'd get it for the batteries if i didn't already have a ton of them from the previous lowes bosch deals.

I have this exact set and it's amazing for what it's intended for. Great set for the average home owner.

I did manage to drill through some 1/4 inch hardened steel with the drill but it was slow and painful.

It has worked flawlessly on everything else I needed it for and the impact driver is little beast.

Definitely an upgrade over Ryobi IMO but I've never owned Dewalt so I can't speak to that.

My Bosch set is several years old used weekly and beat up, still works great. Expensive system but worth it.

About 2 levels below I'd say. Xr is close to top of the line for pros and these are more will get the job done for professionals

I have this set and have been using it professionally for two years now. The impact is strong enough for pro grade, just very very loud compared to others. It also doesn't go full torque until something like 6 seconds of the trigger pulled so that can take some getting used to. The drill doesn't cut it, it struggled to do anything over 3/4 in electricals panels, but for a homeowner it's fine. I still bust out my super beat up 6 year old Milwaukee for holes and it's still light years stronger. The sds works well for anything under 3/4, it'll have a very hard time doing anything bigger, even in block

This is a good deal; if you were not able to get the rotary hammer for $50 with 4ah battery kit and get the freak impact driver with 4ah and bag for $50 (both YMMV in September) then you'd be missing the hammer drill.

There was a YMMV in October 2020 with the impact and hammer drill, bag (2)4ah and charger for $99-$130 but I missed that deal.
