I think they were looking for the security of a Chromebook which is basically bulletproof for older people or just want to do web things without worry.

I get it that some have limited budgets, but I'd do anything to stretch the budget $83 for all that.
Any idea if the inspiron 14 has a slot for a 2.5" sata ssd and if there is two memory slots for upgrade?
They really want to funnel people to the windows eco system. The windows App Store. The trouble is, it's horrible. Very few things are useful there. For example zoom isn't an option. So if you were getting this laptop for your grandparents, and you wanted to use zoom to keep in touch with them, that's going to be impossible, you're gonna have to take it out of S mode into standard mode and THEN You can go to Zoom and download it and install it

I'm not sure about a 2.5-inch bay, you can look up the service manual. It has 2 SODIMM slots.
