The batteries I got were DEAD/BEAT TO HELL, but Ryobi replaced them under warranty.
I used this during a couple of storms, so far, and it works great AS LONG AS YOU GET THE SNOW AS SOON AS ITS DONE SNOWING. If it ices up, you are screwed, but normal snowfall upto 12" it will handle like a pro.
I'm assuming that the batteries that come with this will be "good" (vs the one's I got with mine), and that it wont be missing any parts, so this is a decent deal, as the batteries themselves are like $60+ on eBay.
And if you get it from DTO, you get a warranty etc.

You CAN get the returns cheaper on eBay, from time to time, but there's no guarantee what shape they will be in, or what hoops you will have to jump thru, to get stuff replaced under warranty.

I don't see why you couldn't get replacement locks and fix yourself. Shit I'd just use some epoxy and keep it fully extended in shed if it's terribly bad.
Gonna try to sell batteries for 200. I have 4 batteries already
I am a bit concerned about the reviews on HD that say you have to snow blow immediately after snowing, as it can't handle ice....wonder how much truth there is to that
100 bucks for blower. Bring it, called him before ordered it just now

A two stage with metal auger might be necessary for crusty icy conditions.
