2k as a generic term refers to a resolution with approximately 2,000 horizontal pixels. Since this is 1920 x 1080 this would generally be a 2k. But if often referred to as 1080p or full hd.

You're unlikely to find 2560x1440 (aka 1440p, the more common res referred to for "2k") or higher on a 13-15" screen because at that resolution text and everything else becomes much smaller. Not to mention the pixel density on a 13" screen at 1080p is still going to look very sharp. 1440p+ displays will needlessly consume battery. You're much more likely to notice the jump from a 60 hz screen to 120hz + and 250 to 300+ nit brightness and color accuracy than you are from breaking that 1080p barrier on a laptop.

Just my 2 cents.

Specs wise they are pretty close, probably never notice the difference between the ddr4 and the lpddr4 and the r7 vs i7. However, the dell has double the storage (easy fix) but I'm not sure how the battery life compares between the two. I have not investigated the color accuracy but I'm going to go ahead and presume the LG has a better screen.

They're not completely comparable though, the LG has a really nice build quality and is more along the lines of an XPS than Inspiron. Think MacBook level. If you type a lot, the LG will give you a better experience.

I still don't understand why people would not by this generation Ryzen 7 13.3" laptop for almost the same price.

There's really no comparison between mid-grade yoga and zenbook and this LG. Like I said before, it's more like a macbook than those. You're paying for the build quality, not just the specs.
