Pretty sure this only applies to the Safari Park, which is a great place. I'll certainly take advantage of the offer, and get a good walk in.
"During the month of February, all visitors age 65 and older receive free admission to the Safari Park. "
62 dollars for a ticket to get into the zoo?....Damn
Thinking about bringing in my parents for free, but paying for my own still hurts. I remember years ago getting a groupon for this. Decent experience- wasn't all that safari like so wouldn't go out of the way to go again on full price.
Well since everything else seems to be make believe these days - I'll give it a try
Imagine opening up a Slickdeals thread about the zoo & trying to turn it into discourse about being transgender. This stuff lives rent-free in your head, huh?

Groupon sells that San Diego Go City Pass that lets you do a bunch of other attractions in a day or more. It includes the safari park.
I've been a member for years and gone to both many, many times. I used to live just down the street from the Zoo in North Park. Here's my thoughts:
Safari Park: located in Escondido, it gets very hot in the summer. I was there one day when it was in the 100s. It is also flatter and more spread out. So you will be walking further but it isn't too strenuous. They also charge for parking, $15. You are also kind of in the middle of nowhere; aside from the ostrich farm nearby, you are going to have to drive to your next attraction.
Zoo: located in Balboa Park in San Diego, it is a much more mild climate and rarely drops under 55 or over 85 during the day. It is much more hilly than the Safari Park, so be prepared to give little ones shoulder rides. Parking is free and you can spend your whole day in Balboa Park, exploring the Botanical Gardens, the Japanese Friendship Garden, the Cactus Garden, etc.

I know in Atlanta you can visit the zoo for free once per year. They also have passes to checkout certain museums for free too.

Looks like San Diego has a similar pass for the zoo and other attractions for free.

Guessing other libraries for other cities do a similar things.
