The answer always is anything but Netgear consumer mesh system. Read their forums.
I love Netgear and I think they are the best consumer grade networking products company by far.
But they dropped the ball big time in Orbis firmware updates and asinine support, or lack thereof.
Seriously, read their forums. Thank me later. Rep me now.
Only buy dual band mesh if your house is wired for ethernet already. Otherwise buy a tri-band mesh.
This is only a dual-band system, where the Orbi at Costco is tri-band. Plus the easy returns at Costco if it doesn't work out for you.
I have the Linksys MX8400C from Costco and while it started out great, firmware updates seem to cause more problems than they fix, so I'm hesitant to recommend Linksys. That said, plenty of people complain about Orbi too.

I have an older Linksys Mesh System (linksys-velop-ac2200-tri-band-mesh-wi-fi-5-system-3-pack-black/6209705). I upgraded from Apple AirPort Extreme over a year ago. I purchased mine at Best Buy. Paid $200 around Black Friday. No regrets. My system is tri band . This one is only dual band . I'm not sure how important that is. I have never needed to reset or reboot my system . It's very reliable and very fast . I have fiber optic internet provider. My wifi speed is around 480 Mbps upload and download. Which is the speed of my fiber optic service.
Amazon price for a single AX5300 unit is $267. That suggests this post is a Slick Deal as far as price . This is $330 for three units.

I've been happy with Orbi RBK50, but there are lots of places where they completely dropped the ball with Orbi. Orbi is typically very fast with a strong signal though - at least for me.
My next mesh system won't be Orbi. It retails too expensive for what you get, and have to pay for security and parent controls. And took them like 2 years to address their issues with the first Orbi Rbk50 - I don't want to be their Guinea pig again.
Do not go with Orbi. It's pure trash. Used these units for the last few years until I switch to Unifi and I thought they worked well. If you can run Ethernet to the nodes for wired backhaul it makes them more reliable.

I have the Velop setup as well. Mine has not been as reliable as yours, requiring not just reboots but resets and re-setups UNTIL I stopped using them as the router and set them as APs in bridged mode and went back to using an older Asus AC1900 as the router. Since then it's been rock solid. I can mow 3 acres and stream music in every far corner.

This right here, if your house doesn't have Ethernet setup, you need a Tri-Band setup for mesh. The third band dedicated to direct connection between routers provides a stable connection. I have a gigabit fiber connection at home and triband setup is the only one that helps with second 5GHz dedicated for wireless back haul to utilize full gigabit speeds.
That being said I'm using Asus ZenWifi mesh router setup.
