Had this a long time ago, was a great starter for a home gym, held up well for the 5 years I had it before upgrading; for the majority of people this and a 300 or so pound weight set is all you will need.
Recommendation on a bar and weights to match with this for a teenager to get started?
If you can get used plates on Facebook market place, offer up, etc. Or if you dont want to go through the hassle just order from basic iron places on "rep fitness" I don't know if they're is any cheaper alternative with good quality but thats what I did. And for barbell just get any 45 lb, 7 foot long barbell on Amazon with good reviews and can hold a good amount of weight.

Just finished building this… I'm actually really impressed by the build quality. I did have to drill new holes on both weight support bars because they didn't line up properly. That being said, I have no concerns about anything I'll throw at it
How well would this set work for someone who is 6'4"? My current set is too small for me and I don't want to find that this one is too after assembling it. Also, do I need a 7' bar or would a 5' one work? Thank you!
