Mine came with new packaging stickers covering them, but they had pretty noticeable scratches and should have been replaced.
The battery was also completely depleted when I got it and by my estimate, only gets about 80% longevity compared to a brand new one.
The lenses can't really be polished without taking the anti glare coating off and you absolutely NEED that coating if you wear glasses.
But you can get an external USB battery to get over the runtime gripes.

On that note I'm also looking for a referral link if anyone has one to send.

I did sign up for the $30 credit thanks to a slickdealer before my activation, however I do not see it on my account. Does it take a while or does it just not work since it's a refurb? Anyone know?

I chatted with them and they said because my device was previously activated thanks to being a refurb I was not eligible hence why I didn't get the credit, now they're asking for a bunch of info from both me and my referrer which is insane.
So worth a shot through chat I think, they seem friendly even if they weren't the most helpful to me.

It can be that the internet just dropped that packet when activation happened and you can reset the Quest activate again and then the referral goes through. I witnessed this first hand. Resetting is easy and worth trying once or even three times. .
If you didn't use a referral link you can still get the credit for a new activation. (PM me for a link) use it, reset your headset and then activation should see you getting a $30 store credit, visible IMMEDIATELY. I'll also gift you any app 10 or under on the store.
You may also need to phone support, and they'll them you bought it, used a referral and you expect the same referral to be honored.. They will give it to you manually.
