However, if you're at the store anyway, or your daily commute takes you right past a Redbox, then paying $2 (or nothing) for a blu-ray rental is the cheapest way to watch a new release movie. Way cheaper than $6 for a streaming rental. Even better when they offer 4K blu-rays for $2.50 (vs buying it for $20+) but those are awfully limited.
So yeah.. it still has its place.

I spent $5 more and stayed home and streamed it!
Don't bother, Redbox people apparently can't learn. Also paying $5 a digital rental is dumb af.
However, if you're at the store anyway, or your daily commute takes you right past a Redbox, then paying $2 (or nothing) for a blu-ray rental is the cheapest way to watch a new release movie.
