I LOVE my S.. Have had ZERO problems with it. Obviously the SSD is small.. That's why you buy an external SSD 3.0. Only 3 of the newer games force me to install it Internally so far. Coming from a PS4 Pro I think it plays much, much better.

We have both, my daughter has the X and I have the S. I only play a handful of games on the S when I can find the time, such as Call of Duty MW2 (2009), Battlefield 4, Burnout Paradise, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. I probably qualify as a boomer (early 40s) but I still have 50% storage left and play on a 65" 1080p. Leaching off my daughter's 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate. I don't find myself missing the improved graphics, storage, or Blu-ray capability of the X. There are some of us out here that don't need the best (if you can find one), honestly I doubt my daughter really cares if she is playing on the X or the S.

Don't underestimate the "old geezers" out here that are still gaming. Why do you think the Switch has sold so well?

I took it back. Tried to play Battlefront II and it was at 900p. Tried to play Motorsports 7 and the jaggies were horrible. Install Warzone and it eats 30% of the drive.

Just curious as to why you own both?

Traded in my Xbox One S and upgraded to this with no regrets. Performance upgrade was worth the minimal upgrade cost (in my case, $80). I have a 2tb HDD that I keep my less frequently played games on, and all my main go-to's on the SSD. It's very easy to transfer games between them.

Many popular games haven't even been "optimized" yet to perform better on the new generation (Warzone being one of them, at least it's not marked "X/S" to signify being enhanced, and so that and Overwatch chill on the spacious HDD and get booted from that, since they'd gain nothing from being on the SSD.

Look out for Amazon Warehouse, they're popping up around $235 sporadically. I also have both the X and S, one primarily for emulation in dev mode, but honestly they both look really good, the S is a solid console for the price.

Sorry guys and gals, I know I am not a boomer, but just trying to make a point that not all use cases require the X. 🤣

I think the S is a great value for a lot more people than some of the comments in these threads would have you believe. Coming from the 360 I was originally looking for a new Xbox One so I could utilize the Game Pass Ultimate. I started looking at the One, but for a few dollars more than a used Xbox One I could get a new S.

So here I am, out here "struggling" with my Series S, iPhone 11, iPad 32GB, and 100% docked Switch without the OLED screen. 😂
