If you are not into Festool then this isn't a good deal. But for Festool fans this set is $275 everywhere else.

yeah welcome to the ripoff that is festool
Is this just the plastic boxes? No tools?
Dewalt = construction, Festool = woodworking. I use Festool for dust collection / sanding / track saw / domino when I do woodworking like tables and cabinets, but I have Ridgid for all my "construction" tools. Each tool and company has its own strengths/markets, you shouldn't blindly compare them. That said I've never seen a real world contractor roll to a job site with 100% Festool.

I'm sure there are people that stacking containers work for, but after trying some for a couple years I had to get a regular tool cabinet with drawers. Having to unstack the containers to get to the lower ones can be a headache. I'm glad I didn't drop over $200 on the set I got

Just my 2 cents as a layperson with a lot of home improvement projects

Wow, surprised to see a Festool deal beyond a recon that disappear within moments. I'm in for one, MFT top is fitting for Kapex when I don't want to use the wings, and it'll be nice having the tool caddy that can roll on the CT's. I know most won't use these but if you've got Festool, a $50 savings is nice if you want to consolidate and organize into systainers like I do.

A lot of their tools comes in a systainer. While I wished more of the major brands would sell their tools that way, it isn't common.

Bosch lboxx and systainers are very euro. Their not as durable as a DeWalt box Ridgid or Milwaukee. However their much more streamlined and fit through narrow hallways with less chance of damaging the walls.

The dewalts are great for rough heavy work. They have water resistant gaskets and even pressure release valves. Systainers are not. Though their locking and stacking method is much more convenient.
I only have one damn festool but it needs like 2 other boxes to store the domiplate and all the dominos itself. I mean one of the really big dominos came in it's own box. I guess you get what you pay for, sorta. The only reason I have the domino xl is because nobody has anything else that can do what it does. I've heard things like oh the patent is expiring, etc . But like with most cheap tools you give up precision.
My Domino systainer has enough room for the Domiplate .. not sure what you mean

I see a lot of serious pros using Bosch and Makita too. Watch the AVE break downs for each brand and you will see how they are built inside. Milwaukee has brilliant engineers but internally the construction is quite sloppy. Hilti is absolutely building stuff that lives up to its reputation. Makita and Bosch are a cut above the conglomerate owned Milwaukee and Dewalt when it comes to tools sold at big box stores

I never seen anyone on my sites using Bosh and especially makita. Hilti and Milwaukee have the marketing down pack. Even the great Hilti makes there crap in China. Ave fills his videos with a lot of crap, real world abuse on these tools I can say the Hilti stuff is strong especially hammer drills and core drills. On battery drills I rather have a Milwaukee or DeWalt, Hilti sucks on there impacts and battery drills. These storage boxes people need to look at how you can expand on. The packout stuff has a whole community behind it and people 3D print a whole lot of cool accessories for the system. I am sure This festool is nice but in real world especially homeowners the packout is the way to go.
