The deal, as I read it, is $250 + $35 for the phone AND a $150 Target gift card. If this is indeed the case, this is a smoking hot deal, but in-store only...

If it's out of your way to shop at target, you May as well just get the reconditioned SE or XR direct from their site for only $131 for it including the 25$ plan, after you use a 25% off coupon. Most people (including myself) report the reconditioned phones being in like-new condition, with new batteries and several months remaining on the warranty. (Two of the 3 XRs we got had 10 months remaining on the AppleCare warranty, the other one had 6 months left). All 3 of them looked like brand new devices and had 100% battery life.

Se2 has bad battery life. Just giving my experience in case some of you are keeping this for personal use.

Total Wireless web site has refurbished models for $129 + a $35 plan and you can use your email for 25% off. that basically pays for your first month.

If anyone has done one of these Target in-store activations on Tracfone, could you share details? The techs at the stores here think they could activate a Tracfone, but said it's complicated (??), and really just want to sell me the phone and shoo me away. (I didn't follow up on seeing if they could figure out to do the similar earlier promo, since it was clear that they didn't know how to activate a Tracfone in-store anyway.)
