Buy a TV, computer, major appliance or water heater and Costco extends the warranty coverage to 2 YEARS
Purchase with your Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi and extend your warranty* coverage for an additional 2 YEARS.
You need to do the math though, and show your work for credit.

I'm new with laptops, can you explain why the LG has better specs? I just bought the Costco Dell one and haven't opened it. Is the LG $100 more valuable? How much faster would it be, and would it be noticeable for casual use and light photo RAW editing?

Yes you can open and still return within 90 days. I did it myself recently
Screen resolution, in-built speakers, Speed Test are way better on HP Envy. I'm going to return the Dell Inspiron.

I am new to laptop. They are both 16GB memory and 512GB SSD, why speed is way better on HP Envy? Since the price difference is $100 now, I am not sure whether it des

Citibank offers a 24 month warranty extension using any of their branded cards. So if you use a Citibank branded card like the Costco card you will get a additional two years for a total of four years. You don't have to use the Costco Citicard to get the two year extension as any Citicard will do.
What I like about the CitiBank extended warranty program is that in the event of a problem you don't have to deal with the original manufacturer. All you have to do is take it to any licensed repair center and CitiBank's insurance company will pay the bill.

- $100 cheaper
- 16:10 screen (This is a much more productive screen ratio and the biggest reason to go with the Dell IMHO)
- Gray keys instead of silver ones that blend in with the backlight in the HP.
- Keyboard lift feature that is good for ergonomics (I usually use a stand so if I don't have it, this is a helpful feature).
- Matte screen with less glare (but also looks less bright and with less 'pop' than the HP)
Advantages of the HP
- Touchscreen (I don't need this, but this is the main reason to go with the HP)
- Glossy screen that looks brighter (more 'pop - this can be a positive or a negative)
- Better cooling solution (The Dell vents blow towards the screen, which is a bit odd).
Overall, both have their positives and negatives. At the same price, I MIGHT go with the HP. But for $100 less, and especially with the superior screen ratio, I think the DELL is a better deal, if you don't need a touchscreen!
