Here, I will do your homework for you, but you owe me a coffee.
https://www.costco.com/concierge-...ranty.html

Buy a TV, computer, major appliance or water heater and Costco extends the warranty coverage to 2 YEARS

Purchase with your Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi and extend your warranty* coverage for an additional 2 YEARS.

You need to do the math though, and show your work for credit.

specifically went to costco to check this out. only cons IMO are following: the screen wobble is intense so if you like using laptops in your lap, expect a fair amount of screen movement when typing. the touchpad is really small and feels too plasticky. this model is known for a less than stellar touchpad and that was evident in the little time i spent with it. The fan vents are pointing towards the screen which is a weird design decision. but on a good note, screen is nice, 16:10. end to end keyboard is really nice! and it's really lightweight. I/O at this price is solid too. all in all, the price is fantastic for what you get but i couldn't bite cause of the weak trackpad and screen wobble

It is definitely not 550 in store. I think that one guy was looking at the wrong laptop. 599, but I pulled the trigger. Save 10 on shipping, seems pretty fast, definitely much better than my old POS.

There seems to be a lot of configs, i5, i7, 2-1, with graphics card..etc.
Did anyone open this specific model? Does it only take 2230 m.2 nvme ssd?
eg - this Dell 14" 5402 ( https://imgur.com/HRmoyFW ) is compatible with 2230 or 2280. It comes with 2230, but we can install 2280 by moving the bracket back. IN the pic you can see the slot between the battery and the fan. https://imgur.com/HRmoyFW

Can anyone recommend a good docking station for this?
I'm just using two 1440p monitors, mouse, and keyboard.
I see one below for $50 at Costco, but not sure what would work best with this laptop.
https://www.costco.com/accell-uni...30287.html [costco.com]
This one doesn't even have usb c interface.
I use USB C hub and Belkin hub and both do the job of driving 2 monitors. I don't know the complete capabilities of the thunderbolt interface, I read you can connect external GPU. In such a case get a compatible TB 4 hub. (eg - Belkin - an expensive option. )
or for USB C hub like Alogic - about $50 or so.
Dock / USB C hub - check how many video output it supports ( eg - they may have 1 hdmi and 1 mini display port ).

Mostly same specs like onboard RAM, metal body. HP has silver color keys which is a bad design compared to Dell.

Has touchscreen, too. Been reading that's a bad thing for glare. But yeah, pretty similar otherwise.

Curious still if this is best value for the price. About to pull the trigger, I'm kinda done with desktops.

Good deal.

Wish it had a HDMI 2.0 port for driving a 4k TV at 4k@60Hz@4:4:4, but I guess I understand why they wouldn't bother with HDMI 2.0 since one can get a 4k compatible USB-C to HDMI adapter, albeit for an additional cost.
