Here, I will do your homework for you, but you owe me a coffee.
https://www.costco.com/concierge-...ranty.html

Buy a TV, computer, major appliance or water heater and Costco extends the warranty coverage to 2 YEARS

Purchase with your Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi and extend your warranty* coverage for an additional 2 YEARS.

You need to do the math though, and show your work for credit.

specifically went to costco to check this out. only cons IMO are following: the screen wobble is intense so if you like using laptops in your lap, expect a fair amount of screen movement when typing. the touchpad is really small and feels too plasticky. this model is known for a less than stellar touchpad and that was evident in the little time i spent with it. The fan vents are pointing towards the screen which is a weird design decision. but on a good note, screen is nice, 16:10. end to end keyboard is really nice! and it's really lightweight. I/O at this price is solid too. all in all, the price is fantastic for what you get but i couldn't bite cause of the weak trackpad and screen wobble

Could someone please confirm if warehouse model has black keyboard? TIA
I checked in store and the keyboard is a matte gray - backlight contrast is decent and much better than silver keyboards, though maybe not quite as good as a black one. I found it as good as the Inspiron 16 plus (which has a bluish keyboard and a decent but not exceptional backlight)

Went to Costco to see this in person. The screen does not have a wide viewing angle like a high quality IPS screen has. Major flex in the keyboard area. I do not like the design of the hinge that lifts the base up (this contributes to the keyboard flex).

Also, a 35W processor in a thin and light was not a good idea. I think throttling would be a problem.

Overall, it's not bad for $600, but it's not perfect (and not for me).

MacBook Air 2020 model or this one?
For general use and little programming
The big question to answer on this one is, do you need Windows? If not, and you don't mind paying $250 more I think even the base MacBook Air is a much better laptop. The build quality is way ahead of this Dell and the M1 is spectacular.

If you're a little more budget minded and don't care for MacOS, this Dell is a good deal for what it is.

This is not a iPhone or Samsung(Android) comparison - where iPhone clearly wins because there are only few main things (calls, photos, apps) you do with phone and iPhone does it properly, its a high quality product, lasts long, they get get updates for long time and retains value if you ever want to sell it.
Windows vs OSX is I believe like , do you need windows because for specific software or for games, then windows wins. And for music or creativity purpose most use OSX, and if you want to use for serious work, then take a Mac with high specs because upgrade later is not possible.
However for light usage either this Dell or MBA should be ok.

Can anyone recommend a good docking station for this?
I'm just using two 1440p monitors, mouse, and keyboard.
I see one below for $50 at Costco, but not sure what would work best with this laptop.

There are a bunch of USB-C docking stations on Amazon. You just need to check if your monitor can accept HDMI 2.0. If not, you need to look for the ones with Display Port. The HDMI docking stations are cheaper than Display Port.

Would this laptop be good for an 11 year old with light video editing with a Go Pro? I'm looking for a laptop under $600. What other specs should I be looking for within that price?
