I own this and it's good for powdery snow but anything slushy bogs it down quickly. Also the wheels leave much to be desired. Probably fine for most, but it's not always ideal for Minnesota winters.

the box isnt anything to brag about, its just a large brown box, with 2 small brown battery boxes, the charger was in a zip lock bag, and the chute was unattached.

thats it. except mine didnt really work. no marks or damage to the snowblower. my fedex lady handled it with care, 55lb box, she backed up into my driveway and I helped her unload it. (shes a fox) and shes an amazon. shes like 5'11 and damn attractive. Lol she could woop my ass no doubt with all the packages I have her deliver. im basically a gym for her

Got mine today. Packed loosely in a Ryobi box, no styrofoam, bubble wrap. Batteries in their own small boxes in the main box. Anyway, wife brought it inside but when I came home I find a random piece of plastic on my steps. Turns out it was part of the machine, either broke off during shipment or when it was delivered. The fact that it fell out shows you how poorly it was packaged. The unit runs, I tried it briefly. I emailed them to figure out a solution for the broken piece.

Same here. I just ordered the broken parts, which were fairly cheap. If I return it, I'll never get a replacement before I need it, and returning it is a hassle anyway.

There was a big hole in the bottom of my box, and I'm really surprised the boxed batteries, loosely tossed in the box, didn't fall out during shipping.

Why is it so hard to pack and ship these things properly?

I did a quick run on some packed snow at the back of my driveway, and it seemed to clear it easily enough.

They cancelled my order. Not sure why. I see cancellation coming for others. WTH.

I'd argue for a blemished
Say you skipped other electric snowblowers on sale because you ordered this. And now you canceled leaving you stranded. Idk

I'm a douche lol

You have a point. And, there is no reason for cancellation, just a cancellation email. I ordered a Powerwash along with it which is still available for same price online. Thanks for the idea.

I usually get my way with arguments like this. Just be courteous and in my defense I have good rapport by having order history w them.

Mine came today. Agree that packing was bad. It is working but a bit too noisy. Seems like some vibration. Not sure where exactly the noise came from.
Tried briefly today. Snow is splashing from the chute. Is this normal?
Other than these two problems, it is OK.

I received by snow blower today. FedEx did a good job of taking care of handling it. The box was in ok shape. The snow blower appears to be in good/like new condition. The nut for lower handle locking mechanism was loose. I added extra nut to lock the original nut in place so it doesn't come loose again. I have a lot of packed snow in the driveway and I'm not sure if this blower can handle breaking it up and throwing it. Anyone else tried it on packed snow? Probably have to be careful of directing the chute away from anything valuable just in case you throw a chunk and damage something?

I tightened mine as well but now it wont fold over to the compact position unless i loosen those nuts. Even when open those gray handles on the side.

Mine was supposed to arrive today but the FedEx tracking updated to say the item was damaged in delivery from the truck today and they contacted seller for directions. It was then returned back to the local site this afternoon with a delivery notice that it will be going back to the sender by Sunday. I wonder if it is due to the boxing issues others mentioned. I reached out to the direct tools customer service given that I have no clue what to expect now since it was a refurbed item that is now sold out (wrote after hours when I got home so no response yet).
