I called the location closest to me and they had the floor model showing for $178. When the manager went to check to all of a sudden make sure that it was there, they told me that it was not. A different location further away has six in stock for $229. Is this a good model for the price? I'd rather buy this for $229, than pay almost $100 to Home Depot for a 24 hour rental.

Thanks, I just placed a pick-up order for one under my father's account. I already own an older Generac model with similar specs but can use a second unit.

Do they check ID's for order pick ups? My father's account is under his name, rather than mine.

Did they ask for ID at pickup? I also have my father-in-law's account that I use, but have never done an in-store pickup.
